The "Chiseling" Nozzle: Precision Scraper Edge

The Spraying Systems WashJet® 15° MEG Nozzle turns your water pressure into a hardened scraper blade. While generic nozzles often suffer from a "hot center" (high pressure in the middle, weak at the edges), WashJet nozzles are engineered for Even-Edge distribution.

This means the impact force is uniform across the entire width of the 15° fan. Whether you are stripping paint or pushing heavy grease, every millimeter of the spray pattern works with equal intensity. This is also a high-impact upgrade for Whisper Wash and BE Whirl-A-Way surface cleaners (requires 1/4" threads).

✅ The WashJet® Advantage: 404 Series Steel

WashJet MEG nozzles are constructed from premium Hardened 404 Series Stainless Steel. This alloy is engineered to withstand the dual threat of high-pressure erosion and chemical corrosion from softwash mixes (SH). This ensures your chiseling fan pattern remains sharp and effective long after standard stainless tips have washed out.

⚠️ Precision Sizing Required

Selecting the wrong orifice size is the #1 cause of decreased performance.

  • Too Small: Your unloader valve will bypass water to limit pressure. This reduces the flow rate at the tip, killing your cleaning efficiency.
  • Too Big: System pressure drops drastically, significantly reducing your impact force and cleaning power.

Spray Angle Color Guide

Note: WashJet MEG nozzles are unpainted stainless steel. The list below references the matching Quick Connect industry standard colors.

  • 🔴 0° (Red): Cutting / Hydro-Excavation / J-Rod High Reach.
  • 🟡 15° (Yellow): Chiseling / Paint Stripping / Heavy Grease.
  • 🟢 25° (Green): Flushing / Surface Cleaners / J-Rod Close Application.
  • 40° (White): Washing / Windows / Siding.

Professional 15° Use Cases:

  • Paint Stripping: The 15° angle creates a concentrated line of force ideal for lifting peeling paint from wood or masonry without the damage risk of a 0° tip.
  • Grease & Oil: Acts as a "fluid broom" for heavy shop floors and equipment. The uniform pressure pushes thick sludge rather than cutting through it.
  • Concrete Cleaning: Use for removing gum, tar, or deep stains from concrete where a wider fan (25°/40°) won't penetrate.

🚀 Surface Cleaner "Stripping" Upgrade

For professionals needing maximum aggression, these 15° nozzles can be installed on 1/4" NPT Spray Bars (Whisper Wash, BE Whirl-A-Way) to strip exposed aggregate or heavily soiled commercial concrete.

The WashJet® Difference: The precise "Even-Edge" fan pattern significantly reduces the risk of tiger-striping compared to standard 15° tips, ensuring a uniform cut even at high RPMs.

💧 Softwash & J-Rod Sizing Guide

Because WashJet nozzles are available in the large Orifice Sizes required for J-Rods and nozzle holders, they serve dual purposes for Softwash and high pressure applications.

  • Small Sizes: Used for High Pressure Rinse.
  • Large Sizes (#30 - #60): Used for Low Pressure Soap Application.
Your Machine Standard Rinse Tip (High PSI) Standard Soap Tip (Low PSI)
2 - 3 GPM Size # 10.0 Size # 30.0
3.5 - 4.5 GPM Size # 10.0 Size # 40.0
5 - 6.5 GPM Size # 15.0 Size # 40.0
7 - 8.5 GPM Size # 20.0 Size # 60.0

Note: Installing a #30 - #60 nozzle on a standard machine will drop pressure drastically, automatically engaging your downstream chemical injector.
